This long-life lithium manganese dioxide battery (9 V DC, 4.2 Ah) is the approved, disposable power source for Philips HeartStart OnSite, Home, and FRx automated external defibrillators, ensuring the unit remains rescue-ready at all times. 

Key Specifications & Performance

• Battery Type: 9 V DC, 4.2 Ah — non-rechargeable lithium manganese dioxide primary cells.
• Power Capacity: Delivers a minimum of 200 shocks or 4 hours of continuous operating time. 
• Standby Life (installed): Up to 4 years typical, when installed before the printed “install-by” date 

Installation & Maintenance

• Install the battery into the slot on the back of the AED. Once installed, the device will automatically perform a self-test to confirm proper battery installation and readiness. 
• The AED performs periodic self-tests (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly), and the battery must be functional to guarantee readiness. 
• Replace the battery by the “install-by” date printed on the label to ensure full standby life.
